How it all began
JSC Dance started as one after school class per week in Llandaff City Primary school. We worked hard participating in local shows such as the Sherman Dance and competed at the UDO National Schools Street Dance Championships, being placed 2nd (2011) and 3rd (2013). JSC Dance now has various after school classes in primary schools across Cardiff, ranging from year 1 to year 6. JSC Dance also runs Dance Camps throughout the school holidays which have become incredibly popular!
my journey
I danced at my local dance school for over 20 years and participated in many incredible shows, competitions and TV work. I went on to study a BA (Hons) Dance degree at the University of Wales Institute Cardiff which had a pedagogical focus on dance. Once I completed the degree, I worked for a community dance organisation as a Dance Co-ordinator. Like most young adults, I decided to travel before returning to Cardiff to set up my own dance company, JSC Dance. JSC Dance has now been running for 10 years and teaches over 100 children per week!
the future
JSC Dance will continue to teach fun filled dance classes to children in the Cardiff area, whether it be an after school class, at our popular Dance camps or at an evening class.
